Manchester United sacks coach David Moyes.

Manchester United have sacked their coach David Moyes after 10 months in charge. The news was delivered to him this early morning at a meeting with the Chief executive Ed Woodward at the Club's training ground.

Moyes thanked staff after learning his fate and the club thanked him for  his 'hard work, honesty and integrity'.

The Club owners, the Glazer family lost patience with Moyes after a dismal season at home and abroad and the 2-0 defeat at old club Everton on Sunday was the final straw. Moyes had been specifically selected by the former coach Sir Alex Ferguson as his replacement after 26 years in charge.

United are seventh in Premier League, 13 points off fourth place and Holland coach Van Gaal is being lined up as replacement while Ryan Giggs will take over as interim manager until the end of the season.

**Not a Man U fan, but I sincerely feel sad for Moyes. Wishing him better prospects ahead.
