Today is the big day for her third marriage to Kanye West and while we await pictures from the wedding carnival in Florence Italy, we take a look at her journey of marriage through the years.
Damon Thomas: Kim eloped with music producer Damon Thomas to Las Vegas in 2000 to get married at the age of 19. Not much is known about the actual wedding ceremony, but the marriage didn't last long and Damon filed for divorce in 2003. In papers filed in court, Kim alleged she suffered both physical and verbal abuse at the hands of Thomas.
She claimed he made her leave her job, refused to let her see friends and 'poisoned her mind' against her family. She said, 'I was young and went against my parents. Although they didn’t disown me, they were very upset with me! I stayed in the relationship to prove to others that I was going to make it work! That wasn’t for the right reasons.'
Kris Humphries : In 2011, after a whirlwind six months of dating, basketball player Kris Humphries proposed to Kim with a carefully choreographed 'Will You marry Me' spelled out in rose petals in her bedroom, along with a 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz $2 million diamond ring. But it wasn't long before reports swirled hinting there was trouble in paradise, and Kim announced her split from Kris in October 2011 after just 72 days of marriage. In a statement to E! Kim said: 'After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. 'I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.'
