Mick Jagger's girl friend's suicide: Why do people commit suicide?

Why do people commit suicide?

A friend of mine once said, If you are strong and bold enough to take your OWN life, surely you are stronger and bolder to deal with that issue that led you to commit suicide.

Everything we have done in life, from crying for breast milk, to going to nursery (waving bye to mum with heavy heart and eyes) to cramming those notes for those exams, to learning some career or trade, etc is to be able to maintain our lives which is our most valued asset. So how can you then throw that life away?

Trials will come, afflictions will come, sometimes so overwhelmingly you wonder 'how can I get out of this one?' But they always pass. I remember my problems of 5 years ago are no longer my problems today, so they passed away. Today's problems too will one day pass away, and tomorrow's problems are waiting!

And it applies to everyone, nobody is excluded from life's problems. Even the billionaires have problems, Michael Jackson famously battled insomnia! Insomnia? When poor people can doze off anywhere anytime, in buses, tubes, street corners etc.

Suicide should never be the option, NEVER! There is always something to live for.

And what about the soul? If you relieve it of earth's sorrows by committing suicide, have you also released it from heaven and hell's sorrow which is perpetual and never ending?
