American actor, George Clooney, 53 years, held the title for such a long time until he got married last month to the lovely Amal Alamuddin in a star studded ceremony in Venice, Italy.

Now British TV and music mogul, Simon Cowell, 55 years, has told Hello Magazine in an interview, 'I'm the only iconic bachelor left in the entire world...thanks for that George Clooney.'

Just like George Clooney, Cowell has enjoyed a string of high profile relationships with several ladies which include Sinitta, Terri Seymour, Mezhgan Hussainy and Carmen Electra, but always had a phobia for marriage.

He is currently dating Lauren Silverman who gave birth to his son Eric about seven months ago, but he reckons he is gonna be a bachelor for a bit longer as he is not yet ready for marriage.

Cowell has an estimated fortune of £200 million and is the 6th richest person in the British music industry. He is known in the United Kingdom and United States for his role as a talent judge on TV shows such as Pop Idol, The X Factor, Britain's Got Talent and American Idol. He owns the television production and music publishing house Syco.
