Aliko Dangote maintains position as Africa's richest man.


According to Forbes, Nigerian businessma, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, is Africa’s richest man in 2014 with a $25 billion net worth. He has held that position for the fourth successive year.

He is ranked 23rd in the world and is the first black man to break into the top 25 richest people in the world. He has interests in cement, sugar, beverages and petrochemicals.

Mike Adenuga, owner of telecoms company Globacom, is ranked 325 with a wealth of $4.6 billion, while Folorunsho Alakija, is ranked 687 with $2.5 billion.
