A high court grants rights to gays and lesbians in Botswana.

A human rights group, Lesbians, Gays & Bisexuals of Botswana (LEGABIBO) has won a landmark legal case in the High Court of Botswana.

The group has been campaigning for the right to register as an organisation. The ruling now allows them to be officially registered and acquire legal status in the country.

The Department of Labour and Home Affairs had blocked the group from registering as an organization which prompted them to head to the High Court.
