Lupita Nyong'o announced as new face of Lancôme cosmetics.

Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o who won an Oscar for her performance in the movie 12 years a slave, has been announced as the new face of French skincare and cosmetics company Lancôme.

She joins Julia Roberts, Kate Winslet and Penelope Cruz, as ambassadors. In a statement, she says “I am truly honoured to join the Maison Lancôme, a brand with such a prestigious history that I have always loved. I am particularly proud to represent its unique vision for women and the idea that beauty should not be dictated, but should instead be an expression of a woman’s freedom to be herself.”

Lupita is also the face of Miu Miu.
