Atiku Abubakar's son marries his American sweetheart.

The former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar's son Abba on Saturday 5th April 2014 got married to his American sweetheart Mariana Silver at the prestigious Conrad Hotel in Dubai.

It was an affluent occasion as expected with a list of dignitaries in attendance, including the senate president David Mark, the former Lagos state governor Bola Tinubu and a host of others.

The former Vice president in a short speech described the day as one of the most significant in his life and congratulated Mariana for ''pinning down'' Abba.

Prayers were also said for Nigeria to overcome it's current difficulties. Atiku later tweeted a picture of him and the couple ''We welcome Mariana to the family with a selfie.''
