The world footballer of the year and Real Madrid star striker Cristiano Ronaldo, and Liverpool star striker Luis Suarez, are joint winners of the European Golden Boot for the 2013/14 season after scoring 31 goals each in the La Liga and Premier League respectively. Lionel Messi who won it last year came third with 28 goals. The Golden Boot is an award for the highest goal scorers in a season.
